Devar are proud to announce that we have been selected by the Airport Authority Hong Kong as the approved specialist contractor to supply and install our own proprietary raised access floor system as part of the HK$7 Billion, HK International Airport expansion project.
The existing Terminal 1 is being expanded with a seven-storey reinforced concrete structure with 40 new check-in counters, baggage reclaim carousels, departure security screening channels and departure immigration counters.
Installation will start at the departure immigration counters and will commence this coming June 2019. These areas will incorporate our Heavy Grade LHG760 calcium sulphate panel system with stringer support to the pedestal understructure and will have a carpet tile finish applied.
HKIA aims to become one of the world’s greenest airports with its environmental plan containing more than 120 green initiatives. The plan is expected to enable the airport to develop a robust culture of sustainability throughout the airport.
