We have the pleasure in announcing that we have been awarded the supply and installation contract for the new Drumbrae Library and Community Hub in Edinburgh which is being delivered by hub South East Scotland Limited (hubco). The building is being constructed by Morrison Construction, Grangemouth Office.

This challenging new project is the first to be developed as part of the hub South East Scotland programme. Over the period of the next ten years, new projects totalling approximately £300 million are expected to be delivered under the scheme which covers Edinburgh, Lothian and the Borders regions.

The Drumbrae centre also represents the first project in a series to be carried out by a unique partnership comprising both public and private sectors. By bringing together the private sector members of the SPACE (Scottish Partnership and Community Enterprise) consortium led by Galliford Try, along with the proven expertise of the local authorities and the NHS. SE hubco heralds a new era of joined-up service provision and value for money in public procurement in the construction sector.

The completed project will provide 3 floors of high quality campus style office accommodation incorporating a library, day centre and adult learning facility.

The Architects for the project are Keppie, Edinburgh Office.

The installation will be carried out by a Devar approved installation contractor.
